Diastasis Recti Abdominis

A recent study by researchers in Lisbon ( Mota et al 2014) have reported a prevalence of DRA of 100% at 35 week pregnancy and a prevalence of 53.6% at 12-14 week pregnancy and a prevalence of 39.3% at 6months post-partum….They also found that there were no significant differences in prevalence of lumbo-pelvic pain between women with and without Diastasis Recti ( Pascoal et al 2014). I think this article is great for women to know that they may or may not have DRA but that do not necessarily have a ” clinical condition” if they do…
